I am the Co-Founder and CTO of ProximalHealth, where I focus on architecting resilient, capital-efficient platforms for the highly regulated HealthTech and InsurTech sectors.
Over the last 15+ years, my career has evolved from hands-on software engineering at American Public Media and directing engineering at OptiMine Software, to leading enterprise-scale teams at Virgin Pulse. Most recently, I bootstrapped ProximalHealth from a single seed round into a high-volume revenue engine processing tens of millions in written premium.
I write The Builders Playbook to document the ‘scar tissue’ acquired from scaling these systems. My goal is to help technical leaders and founders navigate technical debt, ruthlessly optimize cloud infrastructure, and build engineering cultures that prioritize capital efficiency without sacrificing scale.
While my primary focus remains on ProximalHealth, I occasionally partner with venture capital firms and select early-stage founders for asynchronous architecture and technical due diligence audits. You can learn more about my availability on the Select Engagements page.
